The Festo SMT-8 (574339) is a magneto-resistive proximity sensor designed for reliable piston position detection in T-slot pneumatic cylinders. It supports contact, PNP, NPN and non-contact switching functions, providing flexible integration into industrial automation systems. Operating on a 24 V DC supply, it features an integrated LED indicator and is available with M12, M8 or open-end cable connections. Built with stainless steel, nickel?plated brass and reinforced polyamide construction, it offers IP65, IP68 and IP69K protection with ATEX approval for demanding industrial and hazardous area applications.
